Software programs that will be utilized are Brainchild, Time4Learning, Leapfrog, to mention a few which are appropriate learning tools for preschoolers.

*Dance is offered as an after-school enrichment opportunity for children enrolled in Three-Year-Olds, Four-Year-Olds and Five-Year-Olds. Children enjoy a fundamental dance class including ballet, tap and creative movement. This program builds confidence and coordination. Children wear appropriate clothes with pink ballet shoes and tan taps for girls and black ballet shoes and taps for boys.

*Music Makers is offered as an after-school enrichment opportunity for children enrolled in the Two-years-Old, Three-Year-Olds, and Four-Year-Olds. Music Together will provide thirty to forty-five minutes long classes which include an artistically conceived flow of songs, nursery rhymes, instrumental jam sessions, fingerplays, and movement activities. The combination and types of activities are research-based and support children’s developing competence in tonality and rhythm. In addition, activities evolve from the child’s world and include vocal play, animal sounds, rhythm play, language play, and a good bit of genuine fun.

*Yoga is offered as an after-school enrichment opportunity. Yoga combines unique toddler-friendly yoga poses with songs, stories, and games to create an enriching parent/child activity. Yoga for preschoolers teaches children how to relieve frustration, improve motor skills, and increase attention span by actively following directions. It’s a great bonding experience for parents and preschoolers, too. Because the natural attention span of preschoolers is shorter, ten to fifteen minutes of yoga per day is good practice. As they get older, increasing this time and introducing other concepts of yoga is a possibility.
